What changed in each release, in plain language.
This page covers every public release of the plugin in plain language, what changed for you, not the engineering detail.
Releases are listed newest-first. When you update from the Plugins screen, skim this page to see what’s different before you click Update.
1.0.0
First release.
What you get
- Google Places autocomplete on the WooCommerce checkout street-address field, with SA addresses only
- Automatic fill for suburb, city, province, and postcode when the customer picks a suggestion
- The same autocomplete on the My Account → Edit Address billing and shipping forms
- Suburb (Address Line 2) relabelled and made required for SA addresses, so no order reaches you without one
- Works on both classic (shortcode) and block-based WooCommerce checkout, no toggle needed, the plugin works out which one you have
- Settings page under Settings → SA Address Autocomplete for WooCommerce to enter your license and Google API key
- Test API Key button so you can confirm your Google setup before going live
- Admin banners for the two states worth flagging: missing Google API key (yellow warning) and expired or revoked license (red notice)
- Clean uninstall, removing the plugin sweeps every setting and cached value
What the plugin doesn’t do
- No address validation beyond what Google returns, if the customer picks a Google suggestion, that’s your source of truth
- No multi-country support, this plugin is for SA checkouts only
- No bundled Google API key, you bring your own, Google bills you directly
- No kill-switch on license expiry, your plugin keeps working even if your license lapses, only updates are gated
